In November 2008, Artist Laura Berman visited BSU through the Visiting Artist and Scholar Program. Laura worked intensively with all printmaking classes during her visit. In ART 209 Introduction to Printmaking, she introduced the relief process. All students carved three small linoleum blocks. Each block symbolised an individual idea for past, present and future. Laura is an Assistant Professor at the Kansas City Art Institute.

In September 2007, Red Circle Press hosted Bonnie Stahlecker of Indianapolis, Indiana. Stahlecker presented a two-day intensive bookbinding workshop, a public lecture and held an exhibition in the BSU Alberton’s Library.

In February 2008, the press hosted Erik Waterkotte, Assistant Professor, Minnesota State University, Mankato. Waterkotte exhibited a new body of work entitle, Disaster Tableau at the Visual Arts Center in Boise. He offered a one day chine colle workshop to the community. His visit was made possible through the support of Red Circle Press and a Mini-Development Grant through the BSU College of Arts and Sciences.

In April 2008, John Hitchcock, Associate Professor of Printmaking and Installation, University of Wisconsin, Madison visited BSU. Hitchcock conducted an amazing screenprint Happening, entitled, “Fear Mongers”. This action included Hitchcock’s own imagery along with BSU printmaking student’s images. Printmaking took over the Visual Arts Center, Gallery One for a mass two-day print action. Over 40 students and community members participated in the process of printing, cutting and installing hundeds of prints, covering the gallery walls and floors. Hitchcock’s process was inclusive, creating dialog amongst spectators and participants regarding fears, the U.S. Iraq war, civilian deaths and U.S. dollars spent. Hitchcock gave a public lecture during his visit, which grounded his work with his upbringing near Fort Lawton, Oklahoma.
