Professor Larry McNeil has been featured in an essay about his art in
the new Digital Photography journal, “Aftercapture.” It is a fairly
new journal that features artists, photography and the rapidly
evolving world of digital photography. “What’s great about this
article is that it acknowledges that our department is on the
forefront of new digital technology in photography and we’re running
with the best of them. Aftercapture is rapidly gaining a reputation as
a premier journal of digital photography,” says McNeil. He adds, “What
is kind of cool is that I’ve been teaching my 13 year-old photography,
and I commissioned a portrait of myself for the article from him. He
did a great job!”
Aftercapture also has a unique policy of offering free subscriptions
and they open their archives with free downloadable PDF files. This is
a tremendous resource for anyone wanting to learn more about both the
art and technological issues associated with digital photography.
